Street Food in Cameron Highlands
Since we were in Cameron Highlands over a weekend, it meant that we were right on time for the night market in Brinchang – one of the two small towns in the Highlands.
The night market opens in the late afternoon on Fridays and Saturdays and it was filled with awesome street food! Our dinner for both nights were all scouted from here – so much cheaper than the hotel’s “take-out food” menu and a lot yummier too
Here are some of the street food that can be found at this weekend night market:
An assortment of fried vegetable fritters, which looked really delicious upclose.

I still remember the moment when I walk by this stall the exact moment when these boxes of fried hati ayam (chicken heart) were placed on the table. The aroma was so wonderful and absolutely delicious that I had to tear myself away from the stall.

The most interesting thing in the entire night market has got to be these honeycombs. We bought a teeny stick to try and it was so delicious. It was quite an experience eating fresh honey out of the actual source. How much fresher can it get?!

I love it so much that I got a bigger piece to bring back for dessert that evening. Yum yum!

Because it is a literal “strawberry city”, there were many stalls selling strawberries on sticks (to be dipped in chocolate fondue style) in all sorts of assortments. They made really pretty photos but for once I restrain myself which is a huge deal because strawberries and marshmallows and chocolates all at once is something I’m kinda addicted to.

Speaking of strawberries, check out this ice lolly made with real frozen strawberries. These were a delightful treat despite the cold weather. We had it on both days we were there!

One more strawberry related food item before we move on: dried strawberries! These were so sweet and good, the perfect snack really

Fried crabs – which were huge!
